Acropolis offers a fine revival dining in a high energy atmosphere featuring belly dancing, plate breaking, napkin throwing, Zorba dancing and live music; all this to recreate the ancient culture of the Greeks delivered to you at a dining experience like no other. Greek Food. Greek Wine. Greek Fun!
As a Greek girl it goes without saying that the bar is set high when it comes to visiting a Greek restaurant… After all, how can anything compare to my YiaYia’s cooking? 😉 However… There are a few Greek gems in Tampa and Acropolis is one of them. 🇬🇷👏🏽
📍 They have several locations from South Tampa, New Tampa, St. Pete and Riverview but my favorite location is definitely in Ybor!
🍽 The food is F R E S H and delicious authentic Greek food. If you’re new to Greek cuisine and want a few suggestions on what to try I’ll give you some of my favorites! 👇🏽
Don’t skip the APPETIZERS! 🤤 You’ll want to order some Spanakopita, Dolmades, Calamari and Hummus served with warm pitas.
For ENTREES the Acropolis salad is a must try! 🥗 It’s massive and can easily be shared between 2-3 people if ordering appetizers. If you like eggplant you need to try the Mousaka — it’s delicious! 🍆 If you like lasagna you need to give the Pastitsio a try as it’s the Greek version of the Italian lasagna and it’s incredible. My kids’ personal favorite is the Souvlaki which are pork-grilled tenderloin skewers. 🍢
And for DESSERT the Baklava is heaven in your mouth and if you love honey you won’t regret it! 🍯
Are you drooling yet… 🤤
🇬🇷 The ambiance and vibe is great too! From Greek dancing and plate smashing while OPA! is shouted from table to table you’re going to have a great time! 🥳
